Bowlabout is a game, not a data business. We don't ask who you are, we don't show ads, and we don't track you. Your progress stays on your device. We do collect anonymous crash reports and gameplay statistics so we can fix bugs and make the lanes better. This policy explains exactly what that involves.
At a glance
Zerostatic LLC ("we", "our", "us") makes Bowlabout. This page explains what information is and isn't involved when you play.
Your stars, lane records, Cup scores, unlocked ball finishes, and settings (such as sound, music, haptics, camera, and reduced motion) are saved in the App's private storage on your device. This data is never sent to us. It is not synced between devices, and deleting the App permanently deletes it. Standard iPhone and iPad device backups may include it, under Apple's control.
The optional Full Park Unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and handles your Apple Account, billing details, and receipts. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, or payment information. The App asks Apple's StoreKit service on your device whether the unlock has been purchased so that it can unlock and restore content. Apple's handling of this information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
We use Firebase Crashlytics, operated by Google LLC, to receive a report when the App crashes or hits a serious error. A crash report includes technical details such as the device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and storage, and a stack trace of the error. It does not include your name, contact details, or location. Crash reports help us find and fix bugs.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the game is played. The App records events such as starting or finishing a lane (with the lane, number of balls, pins knocked down, and stars earned), leaving a lane early, starting or finishing a Cup, which menu screens are opened, and whether the Full Park Unlock was purchased or restored. Firebase also records standard app information such as app version, device model, operating system version, country (derived from your network, not GPS), and session start and length.
These statistics are associated with a random app-instance identifier that is created when the App is installed and reset if you delete and reinstall it. They are not linked to your identity, and we have turned off Firebase's advertising features: ad personalization signals, ad-network registration, and collection of the advertising identifier (IDFA) and vendor identifier (IDFV). We use this information only to improve Bowlabout, for example to find lanes that are too hard or too easy.
Bowlabout is built with the Unity game engine. The Unity engine may send a small set of anonymous, non-personal hardware and software statistics to Unity Technologies, such as device model, operating system version, graphics hardware, and screen resolution. This information is used by Unity to improve its engine, is not linked to your identity, and is not used by us for advertising or tracking. See the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for details.
If the App ever invites you to rate it, it uses Apple's built-in rating prompt. Apple displays the prompt and handles any rating or review you submit; we do not receive any information about you from it.
If you contact us through our website or by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message, and any device details you include. We use it only to reply to you and to fix problems, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and process data on servers primarily located in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with cross-border data protection laws, your anonymous technical data may be transferred to the United States and processed under safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, access, delete, or object to the processing of personal information. Because the crash reports and gameplay statistics we receive are not linked to your identity, we usually cannot single out data about you, but we will help where we can. You can stop analytics and crash reporting at any time by deleting the App, which also deletes all of your game data from the device. You can ask us to delete technical data associated with your installation, or any correspondence you have sent us, by emailing info@zerostatic.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. The only category of personal information involved is "internet or other electronic network activity information," limited to the crash reports and gameplay statistics described above. Because we do no cross-app tracking, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals are honored by default.
Bowlabout is suitable for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland). The crash reports and gameplay statistics described above are anonymous, not tied to anyone's identity, and never used for advertising. If a parent or guardian would like technical data associated with their child's installation deleted, contact us and we will do so. The App contains no ads, no chat, no social features, and no account. Purchases require the approval of the Apple Account holder, and parents can control them with Apple's Screen Time and Ask to Buy features. If you are a parent or guardian with a question, contact us at info@zerostatic.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App gains new features. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, use our contact form or email info@zerostatic.com.
