Your privacy matters. Stop Motion Lab does not collect your name, email, contacts, or location. Your animations stay on your device. We show no ads and use no cross-site tracking. This policy explains the limited technical data we do collect to keep the app stable, and the rights you have as a user.
At a glance
Zerostatic LLC ("we", "our", "us") built Stop Motion Lab as a freemium application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.
Crash Reports. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash and error reports. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace of the error. No personal information is included.
Usage Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as which features are used and how often. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Stop Motion Lab requests access to your device's camera to capture animation frames, microphone to record voiceovers and enable clap detection, and photo library to import existing photos as frames and to save exported animations. All camera, microphone, and photo data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Stop Motion Lab offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), who handle your payment information, receipt validation, and purchase restoration. We do not receive or store your payment information. We receive only a confirmation that a valid purchase was made, which we use to unlock Pro features on your device.
Your animation projects, frames, audio recordings, and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from the device unless you have created a project backup file (a .stopmotionlab archive) and saved it to a location outside the app, such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Files.
The limited technical data we collect through Firebase is retained for the following default periods:
You may request earlier deletion of technical data associated with your device instance by contacting us at the email below.
The app uses the following third-party services that may process limited information:
We do not integrate advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or additional analytics providers.
Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and process data on servers primarily located in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with cross-border data protection laws, your anonymous technical data may be transferred to the United States and processed under safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):
To exercise any of these rights, email stopmotionlab@zerostatic.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:
Stop Motion Lab does not engage in cross-site or cross-app tracking. Because we do not operate advertising or tracking infrastructure, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals are effectively honored by default.
Stop Motion Lab is appropriate for all ages but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland). The limited technical data we collect — anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage analytics — does not include personal information and is not tied to user identity. If a parent or guardian believes their child has been subject to data collection, contact us at stopmotionlab@zerostatic.com and we will delete any associated technical data. Because no personal information is collected, our obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) are minimal.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise any of your rights, use our contact form or email stopmotionlab@zerostatic.com.
